Yes, I Actually Ate It: Buying In Bulk (sparkypiii Miniskit 4)

Hey, may as well start adding sparkypiii miniskits here, why not?

So I bought a ream of 500 pieces of printer paper for $6.00 so I could start learning to draw, but then I thought to myself, "You know what you do that nobody else does? Eat paper. You should make a video on that." And I did.

In case you're wondering, I don't make a habit of eating paper, but you know how if you tear out a notebook page, there's still the stuff stuck to the swirly part? That stuff bugs me, so I take it out, and since it'd be too annoying to stand up in class to throw it away, I eat it.

Anyways, that's all besides the point, the point is you should start buying in bulk. It saves you tons of time and money, removing the need to go to the store every day for the tiniest thing. I recommend Sam's Club, they have some really good deals and some awesome exclusive items. Their notebook paper is to die for.

(Also, if you're wondering, I'm just too lazy and it's 2 in the morning, so I'm probably not going to make a thumbnail for this one)

What A Creep!: Soul Blast Of Doom! (Hollow Knight Part 2)

There's not much to say on this episode besides that I still really love Hollow Knight! Man, does this game rock.

I mean, there's plenty of stuff in the game, but these are made after editing is done, and occasionally (as in this case) several days after making it. So right now, I'm making this blog off of the memory of what that episode is like, and my memory is terrible XD.

Looking through it quickly though, I do remember the little singing bug who mines in the caves (and a weird thing that happened in a personal playthrough), she was really cool. Singing is a great way to pass the time when doing work, and I really admire her attitude, too.

If you're wondering what the weird thing that happened in my personal playthrough was, here it is: In a completely separate game, haven't met her before, she gave me the dialogue she should give after talking to her about five times! Wtf, did it carry that info from my YouTube save or what? Anyways, that was just a weird and confusing thing that happened, and I don't know why.

Also, this guy is a total creep! He just lures me into his caves, locks me in his back room, and forces me to fight stuff while he watches! There have to be some sort of laws against this sort of thing, right?

This Game, I Like It... I'll Have Another! *Throws CD On Ground*: Soul Power, Activate! (Hollow Knight Part 1)

Hollow Knight is truly a gem. I'd love to say I can't stop playing it, but for the sake of YouTube, I'm going to have to. I can't go ruining the game too much. Sadly, though, as I say in the video, the first huge section was ruined because of a weird glitch.

Well, I think it actually made for a slightly better intro (sans me complaining), because it takes a bit to master the controls and combat, so it's good I had the practice in before attempting a YouTube video.

Hope you enjoy it! There's sure to be more to come!

Was Zum Teufel?: That Was Interesting (Camera Glitch) (Fallout 4)

This was a fun little thing to film. My brother (who is learning German, which is why Fallout is in German) was playing Fallout 4, and at one point he discovered an interesting camera glitch. He decided to Steam stream it so I could see, then agreed to try to replicate it for YouTube to enjoy. It took several tries, and I'm not sure we could replicate it again, so I hope you enjoy it!

"What? You're trying to talk to him? Nonsense, keep looking at me! My research is much more interesting!"

Mwah! My favorite video so far, by far: Storm Ruler Dance

This was definitely a passion project of mine. One day I was going around helping people fight Yorhm when at some point I got stuck outside the battle area with a guy named Praise The Sun. Together, in the long period of time we were glitch-stuck out of the battle, without even talking or communicating other than our actions, we developed a dance called the Storm Ruler Dance. It can only be properly done with the Storm Ruler because of the wind effect and the unique dipping action with which you go into stance which also propels you forward if you don't go fully into stance. I managed to only record a little bit with him, the rest of the video done without him, and only a little bit of what I recorded with him was usable for this video, sadly, but please help me thank Praise The Sun for making this video possible.

Once we developed the dance, I kept thinking of tunes I could put it to, and the only one that fit the bill was the Can-Can. For the parts where we aren't doing the Storm Ruler Dance, I found other clips from the recording and put them strategically in the video. Half through editing and half through luck, each scene either has a very distinct meaning or fits the music.

Some examples of the genious (both intentional and not) behind this video:
* In the beginning part, you can see that this video is clearly trying to mix both serious gameplay and boss battles with a little silliness and spinning around, before you even get to the first Storm Ruler Dance part. It's important that this is established in the beginning, in my opinion.
* My roll at the beginning matches with the violin, and then we go through the wall at the same time, and the flute plays exactly over that bit.
* 0:03 The creepy crispy hand waving at you.
* 0:00 to 0:10 is prep-time and then after that we go into battle, then the music intensifies.
*At 0:15, I had to edit that to make it fit the music.
*At various times throughout the video (especially at the back and forth part at 0:22), the video is sped up so I could fit a whole scene in a short period so I could time it with the music better.
* At 0:22, you wouldn't believe how many of the Storm Ruler smashes I had cut, and I could only use 4 of them XD.
* Also, you'll notice a back and forth between Yhorm and I at 0:22. This kind of continues through the whole video, actually, up until the end where Yhorm just beats me up for the last 4 scenes.
* 0:33 The suspense! Haha, this scene is just cool because we're both raising our weapons at the same time, him a giant and me a normal human. It's dramatic.
* Between 0:45 and 0:56, I somehow luckily got the transitions so well it seems like my character is doing that thing in videos where the main focus stays stationary but everything else around it changes. That's pretty cool, I think, though admittedly not intentional.
* Also, while we're doing the Storm Ruler Dance parts, it's funny when we go up to people and do the dance into them because half of them or more are completely still and non-reactive, so we're just rubbing up against this guy who's standing like a stone thinking, "Ugh, what is with these weirdos" XD.
* Also, you may notice that most of the video is jump-cut to both fit the music but also bring variety, but at parts like 1:00 I left them whole. I apologize if this throws off the rhythm a bit, but at those parts I just wanted to show how well we were thrashing Yhorm.
* 1:36 kind of matches the beat somehow, and in fact I swing exactly when the cymbals start and again when they end too. I did not record it with that intention but hey, it works.
* 1:42 Tee hee.
* Man, we totally thrashed him at 1:47.
* At 1:50 on it's supposed to seem like Yhorm is finally getting the best of us, and it ends on a suspenseful note where you see his blade come down but you don't see me. But then when the music break ends, it's supposed to reveal us being victorious after all of that struggle, just sitting down to have a drink to celebrate the triumph.

You know, through the whole video it's like the parts that we aren't doing the Storm Ruler Dance it goes from serious in the beginning, then we do the dance, then it's kind of silly in the middle, then we dance again, and it ends up crazy at the end. The dancing parts also get progressively better and funnier as the video progresses, it goes from serious at the start to silly at the end, and the quality of our battles get better too. In the beginning I start out getting thrashed, then in the middle Yhorm starts getting beat up a little, then at 1:47 we just clobber him. It's like the dance is there to remind us to have a little fun with our games, and that a little bit of fun can improve all aspects of our lives. Suddenly this video has a deep meaning revolving around tedium and how it can ruin our lives, and how a little bit of fun can change the world. Or maybe it's just a fun video XD. It's like the phrase, "No pun intended," but it's, "No deep meaning intended."

Sorry about the green border, that must have been an error when I was trying to enhance the video so it was easier on the eyes. Guess I did the opposite :/.

How to perform the Storm Ruler Dance:
1. Equip Storm Ruler
2. One-hand Storm Ruler
3. Charge by holding LT, then release
4. Press LT, then quickly release
5. Repeat 4 & 5
6. Do not press the control stick forward. It may increase speed, but it is not necessary and takes away from the natural swing of just letting the dance go as it does by just doing 3 and 4.

It's abulf halbot glablabloh: Into The Core (SUPERHOT FINALE?)

You may wonder about this post's title. There is a simple reason: I'm tired. As I edit this video, I'm tired. This tiredness caused me to do every-other-day videos and to forget to upload yesterday's video. There is no energy recently.

Luckily, these videos were recorded excitedly, so I don't have to worry about SUPERHOT having bad commentary. What I do have to worry about is editing them and creating new videos to edit.

But I think the solution to all of this is simple: I need more viewers.

It's not that I want to become famous quick, or that I can't stand the money not coming in (That's not a problem. I'm rolling in coppers!). No, it's just that it's hard to get excited if nobody's watching.

Here I insert an image. Notice anything? Notice a large middle finger on the right marking a several day stop in all viewers?

This is demoralizing to most, but since I'm immune to that feeling, instead I just feel... tired. I want to work, to play for YouTube, to do something, but there's nothing to do. So I just watch YouTube videos and play games all day, waiting for my next meal and the next time I sleep, wishing there were someone to talk to on my channel.

If only there were somebody who could just find my channel and watch a few videos, someone I could talk to about the games we've played...

But instead I wait.

...

Enjoy the video :)

New Plan: The System Will Shape You (SUPERHOT Part 3)

This is about the time I decided we should go every other day with videos. Why is that in the past tense? Because people in the future will read these, so I'm doing it for them. Plus I'm pretty confident this decision will last, though I may go to daily videos sometime.

Anyways, I'm just not used to daily videos, and with my current schedule things just keep coming up when I need to edit.

Also, I'm a part of the system now. Neat.

The harder the challenge: Instant Death (SUPERHOT Part 2)

This video wasn't really edited at all, which is perfect for a game like this. Well, by "wasn't really edited at all", I mean it was edited, but only for the really boring/repetitive parts (that slash is put there for all of the hardcore English majors out there to cringe at).

My favorite and least favorite part is the part where I die over and over in the elevator. So much rage, but it was so much fun! It was such a challenge to find out how to do that level. Challenges like that are so fun, because you learn as you do them. The harder the challenge, the more you learn.

Super hot and super fun: The Most Innovative Shooter I've Played In Years! (SUPERHOT Part 1)

Man, I've gotta say, this game is SO fun! Since this is the first episode, I can say now to not watch this video series if you have the ability to play yourself. So much fun!

I also hope you all enjoy this series, because it was so much fun to play! Editing was fun as well, as you can see with the Yankety Sax scene and the face zoom-in that PewDiePie used to pull off so well. I may be worse at editing, but at least the point gets across

Along with the note of editing, first of all this is an edit to this post, and second of all I try not to cut much in this game so you get the full effect of the time powers. Everything is much cooler if you see the bullets whizzing by your face in slo-mo than if you just see me shooting people. That's pretty much every shooter ever, we need to show off how innovative this one is!

This is also the first video of my daily video set planned for the month of May 2017 for as long as possible. Hope it works out well! So far so good :3

Too much work!: MASTERMIND (Vlog 6)

This video is just a little update on what's been keeping me from uploading a gameplay video this week. Most of what the homework is and what it does is in the video, so I'll spare you of that here.

Homework's been rough, and until the final final on Thursday, I'm booked. After Thursday is a little family celebration, too, so I won't be able to do anything until Monday. After that, though, I'm free! Videos for days!

And I mean that. I'll try to do one huge recording session before I go home, then an attempt at a very long live stream, and after that you can expect almost daily videos! We'll get into SUPERHOT, maybe some Yooka Laylee if the team ever returns that E-Mail, and plenty of other games, too!

Oh yeah, and Greg has been getting a little bit of a workout while you've been gone ;).

Looking forward to a great summer with you guys!

What a fail: SUPERHOT Teaser (SUPERHOT Part 0.5)

Yeah, the story behind this is that I accidentally recorded without realizing that everything was still set on system sound, so nothing recorded my mic...

What? What about Audacity?

... erm..

Shut up, that's what!

...

Fine. Everything was set on system sound, and I forgot to turn on my mic in the first place.. :P

So yeah, I just cut out the highlight reel and called it a "teaser". Cheap man's way out,  I know, but I have to post a video every week! It's both a personal goal and a service for you guys!

Fun fact: I seriously spent about half an hour on Tree Dude alone. That's why I thought it'd be funny to pretty much make this a joke teaser by making it 60% Tree Dude.

Fun fact 2: The actual "SUPERHOT" gameplay footage was during a run where I was trying to kill every enemy without shooting a single bullet. It succeeded in that section so well due to the sheer mass of katanas on that level, but the next levels were harder. I did it, though! I got through level 2 without using a single bullet!

My first collab!: Hunting In A Winter Wonderland (theHunter Part 1)

This one's really exciting, because it's the first time someone's ever done a collab video with me. I must give most of the credit for the quality of the collab itself to Robert, because he was very good at politely reminding me of things anybody who does a collab should do, such as saying the right YouTube name of your collaborator, describing the game you're playing, etc...

But yeah, it was really fun to finally play with another person. Plus there's the fact that there was another person, so I could do some fun editing techniques such as the end part where I had him shoot me. Really looking forward to many more videos such as this 'cause there are so many fun and interesting people out there!

First post on this blog: Just Around The Corner (Portal 2 Community Test Chambers Part 4)

Hey, a new day, a new blog, and of course, a new blog post! Anyways, though this is a brand new thing, let's keep the intro short and get right to this video.

This one is kind of special, both because this is my own level in the community test chambers and it marks the end of the portal playthrough. Now that it's over, I'd like to thank anybody who's seen every single portal video from the first to this last one. It means a lot to me that you put that much time into this channel!

In terms of the video itself, I don't have much to say except one concern. That concern is that I may have made my level out to be more than it is and I may have been a little.. what's the word... I may have put too much emphasis on the fact that I made this level and put a lot of time into it. I'm sorry if I sound selfish or something, but when you put that much effort into something it's hard not to be proud of the accomplishment. Still, though, bad move on my part, hope you understand :P.
