New Stream-To-Video Setup! Let's See How It Goes: Adventures in TOTK: Skydiving into Yiga Clan Territory!

Hello again! Back into the swing of things, we're starting off a new series of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! I have been a huge fan of the Zelda franchise all my life, and these two latest games are no exception. I played Breath of the Wild a ton, and even if I didn't complete it, I did spend a lot of time doing side quests and little things around Hyrule.

See, I had seen a ton of people play and finish the game, especially for speedruns, so all I wanted to do was try to mess around with speedrunning strats as much as my joycons would allow, and see what the devs had to offer all around the different regions. And boy did they have a lot!

And now?

THERE ARE 3x AS MANY REGIONS!

Holy goodness, a sky and underground area, both the size of Hyrule??? I cannot freaking WAIT to get into this.

This first episode is admittedly a little slow, but that seems to just be how things are with my content. Wait for episode 5 or 6, then you'll be HOOKED! Trust me, I'm gonna try to pick up every speedrunning trick I can, and when I do, oh boy. We'll be having SO much fun. I've already discovered item duplication glitches, and as I haven't updated my game since buying it, *they still work*! The easy, simple ones, that is. You can see how this is going to go off the rails real quick.

Also, I feel it's worth mentioning that I'm taking full advantage of ChatGPT4 for this video. This video is a bit experimental in that I'm using GPT4 to write the title, tags, and description (with a little editing to make it more my style, but not too much to ruin the SEO). Hopefully this will cause the video to reach a wider audience, we'll see! And if you're concerned, the only thing which is a little off-brand for me is the description, but honestly, who even reads those? The title is still pretty close to something I'd write, honestly, just putting the game name before the main title, rather than after. While I prefer to put it after, I'm leaving that as-is, because I think maybe it'll make it clearer what the video's about to new viewers, or cause the title to be more eye-catching to my intended audience. I think people write titles that way, and the AI picked up on it, for a reason, so we'll see how it works out. I could talk a lot about the decisions I'm making in this episode and why, but...

We're back from the dead!: Welcome To The World Of Dreams - Minecraft World of Dreams Part 1

Hey! Long time no see! I've made a few episodes since the last blog, but I finally got back on the blog spree today. How ya been? Doing well? And the wife? The dog? There's so much I want to ask you, but we have no time. I have another video coming up this week! Yes, that's right, I'm actually getting back into it! I'm doing DougDoug's one year plan, so trying to make at least one video every week, starting with this one.

And boy is it a running start! I haven't posted anything in months, yet YouTube decided that due to my Dall-E created thumbnail art, exquisite naming convention, and not terrible tags, this video would grow 5x faster than almost any of my past videos. 50 views and counting, and over 2k impressions! It's crazy!

So anyways, yeah, I'll be back in a few days to give you a better update in the post for the series I'm really passionate about, Everhood. And maybe in future blog posts I'll hint as to the purpose of this Minecraft series! Trust me, it's gonna be special.

So many great things happening this episode! We made two new friends, found two more dogs, got lots of money, watched 1002 people die... all around it was a very fine day!

How about in the real world? Eh, well, in the real world things are going slow. It's hard to find motivation to do YouTube sometimes when nobody's watching, but then you get that 1-2 views that keep you going through the hardest times. It helps that I still love making the videos, and I still have hope that even if not today, someday people will be entertained by the content I'm putting out now. The future will make today's effort worth it.

Broo I so got you hahaha... Yeah... All, two of you? Maybe? Yeah..... It's a bit sad being a small YouTuber.

But today's a fun day! April Fools! It's so fun doing this stuff every year, even when it keeps me up 'till 8 AM when I'm usually in bed at 5 AM. 

I was initially going to just have this as a Skyrim modded run for 30 mins that I just uploaded on its own, but then the idea to split it up and add effects came to me and I ended up making 10 different 5 minute videos all with different effects. The end result is kinda what I wanted and kinda not. It kinda is because I wanted something weird and unique to post today, but it kinda isn't because I didn't really think about it before around midnight :/. Very little planning, very little time for execution (only got about the 3 hours after I was supposed to be asleep to work on it). BUT! It turned out, and I'm glad I got to celebrate another "holiday" with you all :). All... all of you... oh goodness the realization is returning, uh... LOOK! A distraction!

I can't wait to try out all the new features and make a full run of it, and I doubt anybody else out there can either, considering the Steam metrics absolutely exploded upon its release XD.

Back And Better Than Ever!: The Motes Are Evil, EVILL... - Break The Game Part 1

And we're back, and better than ever! By back, I mean that tentatively. And by better than ever, I mean that almost purely in terms of audio. But we're still back, and with improvements!

So here's the deal for the short term. I am not in a position to use camera, so that extra bit will be absent for a few videos. But here's the upside: I got the PewDiePie Razer Nari Ultimate!

Yes, the Nari Ultimate is awesome, and yes, the PewDiePie design is epic. But, that's not the reason I'm mentioning that. The true reason is that my old headphones were dying day by day. At some point the mic went out, and soon after I accidentally spilled water on them and the left headphone stopped working. Let me tell you, it is no treat trying to make a video when you can only hear out of your right ear, and it's not easy making new recordings when all you have is an omni-directional mic. So much background noise... so much... But it's all better now! Now I can hear the atrocious mixing in previous videos better than ever! Oh my goodness did it suck. But now, not only can I hear out of both ears, I also get a simulated 3D surround system to mix with! And a (very muted for some reason) hot new mono-directional microphone!

... So please believe me when I say I know how terrible the audio is in this video XD
Hey, I tried! But there's something up with the mic and I only found out after making the video that OBS wasn't recording desktop audio. The next video all this should be fixed, but for now please bear with me. It's tough getting back on the YouTube wagon, but totally worth the effort!

Alright, enough rambling for this post. We'll save any more rambling for the next video's post! Or maybe just a standalone rambling post, who knows. I'm ramblin', ramblin' round, I'm a ramblin' guy...

Some Interesting Stuff: What - Far Cry 5 Part 10

Well, to start off, let's just say that some of the stuff in this video was... interesting to say the least.

Ok, that's enough about the video, now for some real talk. I had to postpone this video forever until I got a job, but now that I have a job it's been a pain in the butt to schedule school, work, and YouTube. But I haven't given up.

What I'm going to do to start is finish up all the pre-recorded series (there are still a bunch of videos waiting to be edited), and after that I may do some more traditional videos, but another likely scenario is doing what people like VideogameDunkey and RTGame do, which is stream then edit the highlights. I already have a hilarious Skyrim stream set up in this way because something absolutely friggin' hilarious happened and I'm trying to keep it streamable. The only trouble is that I have to remember what the plan was in the video, although I'm sure at least part of it will come back to me as the stream goes on. This isn't likely to become the new format, but I thought it'd be fun to try out.

Anyways, no schedule yet, but in the future will be more Far Cry, a finish to Doki Doki complete with poems, DOOM, and possibly more S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Well, definitely more S.T.A.L.K.E.R, but whether I record more is up for grabs.
